About the training.
Dobbs Equipment is pleased to bring back the annual Road Building Training Seminar for our customers. This year we have expanded our training another day to include stabilization and milling for a complete and robust training event.
Day 1 - Monday, February 9, 2026
Morning Session - Stabilization
Led by Jessie Boone
Product Specialist for Stabilization with Wirtgen North America
This class will be lead by Jessie Anna Boone, a graduate from the Concrete Industry Management program at Middle Tennessee State University. While Ready Mix is her background, she has built a career in the Cold Recycling Industry. Since 2015 Jessie has been teaching the road building industry how to recycle their roads. Cold Recycling by way of Full Depth Reclamation and Cold in Place Recycling is not yet taught at the university level so Jessie gets the privilege of spreading the good word across North America. After spending two years working for a contractor rehabbing roads with FDR, Jessie understands the trials and tribulations that road owners and contractors continuously face. Cold Recycling IS the way of the future in road rehabilitation. When Jessie is not traveling the country with Wirtgen, you'll find her at the soccer park with her husband Justin and two boys, Sawyer and Sullivan.
Afternoon Session - Milling
Led by Tom Chastain
Milling Product Manager with Wirtgen North America
Tom has spent his entire 32-year career in the milling and paving industry. Tom has assisted with many projects and training on four different continents. He is currently responsible for demonstrations and sales support for milling machines. He also conducts milling product and application training on how the milling process fits into road construction industry for dealers, contractors, local unions, and municipalities. Tom is the former chairman for Cold Planing Committee for ARRA (asphalt recycling and reclamation assoc.) Tom graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Morning Session - Paving Best Practices

Vogele Applications Specialist
Chris is a 32-year veteran of the equipment and paving industry. He has spent fifteen years as a dealer field technician for pacing equipment. Followed by another sixteen years at Carlson Paving Products as a Product Support Representative before join Vogele America as their Application and Technology Specialist.
Afternoon Session - Compaction
Led by JD Groff
Technical Trainer with Wirtgen Group North America
Since 2006, JD has built a career rooted in technical expertise and customer-focused solutions. Starting at dealership as a service technician, he transitioned to the manufacturing side in 2016 as a traveling service technician, gaining hands-on experience supporting customers and solving complex challenges.
Later, as a Technical Support Manager for Hamm products, JD managed technical communications between the dealer and the customer helping with customer uptime. Now, as the Technical Trainer for North America, he focusses on training and empowering teams to maximize the performance of Hamm and Cold In-place Recycling products, helping to drive success across the industry.
