John Deere's "Technician of the Year Award" is part of a prestigious Parts and Service Career Recognition program that celebrates the achievements and work quality for John Deere dealership diesel technicians. According to Bert Bagley, a John Deere Territory Customer Support Manager - AL, GA, and SC, "There are 19,404 diesel technicians in the US/Canada network of dealerships that could have been eligible for this distinguished award. It is an honor to announce that Jeffery 'Bernard' Daniels from Dobbs Equipment is 1 of 12 Division Campions for the Technicians of the Year Award."
Bernard, who began his career in service for a John Deere dealership in 1998 as a Shop Technician and became the Working Shop Foreman in the Service Department at Dobbs Equipment’s Valdosta, GA location in 2020. He will be travelling to Moline, IL, the home of John Deere's headquarters in January 2025 for the final round of scoring."It was a true surprise receiving Bert’s call about the award," says Bernard. "The best advice I can give to anyone aiming for this award is to treat these machines like they are your own when working on them."
This accomplishment is a testament to Bernard’s outstanding career, continuous growth, and dedication to learning. "I hit the technician lottery becoming the Service Manager of the Valdosta location. It's been a blessing for me, the service department, and our entire branch to have Bernard on our team. He is a wealth of knowledge and experience for all of us to learn from. His work ethic and attitude are shining examples for anyone to follow," says Dusty Key, Service Manager for Dobbs Equipment's Valdosta, GA store.
