Dobbs Equipment proudly hosted its Annual Golf Classic at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, FL on May 8–9, 2025. This two-day event united over 130 guests.
All for a powerful purpose: to raise funds and awareness for Construction Angels, a nonprofit committed to supporting the families of fallen construction workers. Special celebrity guest, Jason Baker with Dream Traxx, a proud owner of John Deere construction equipment machines, attended this year's event in support of Construction Angels.
Founded in 2011 by Kristi Gibbs, Construction Angels provides immediate financial and emotional support to families who have lost a loved one in a construction-related accident. With over $209,000 raised through sponsorships, donations, raffles, and a hole-in-one contest, this year's event marked another significant step forward in aiding these families during their most challenging times.
Dobbs Equipment CEO Adam Tschetter emphasized the heart behind the event:
"The mission to help the families of fallen construction workers during the most challenging times remains close to our hearts. Your continued generosity has been immensely impactful, and we're proud to support an organization like Construction Angels."
The event began on Thursday, May 8, with a vibrant cocktail reception at the Ritz-Carlton, offering attendees the opportunity to network and connect with peers while reflecting on the cause. Friday, May 9, brought the main event: a moment of silence followed with a generous breakfast and shotgun-start for 18 holes of game during the tournament. The day ended with lunch, and an awards ceremony — all at the home of the PGA Tour's PNC Championship.
Rich Taylor, Regional Sales Manager at Dobbs, expressed his appreciation for industry partnerships:
"It has become a tradition for Bedrock to support us in this and to play on their team. They are a great company and partner."
His colleague, Michael Abjornson, shared:
"The Dobbs Classic has become the premier event that I look forward to putting on the calendar each year. It takes a special mission to get so many aspects of the industry together and is always a great day with customers and coworkers for an even better cause."
Anthony Falzarano, General Manager of the Ft. Myers store, added his thoughts on the spirit of the day:
"It's always an immense pleasure to participate in this event. Seeing customers travel from all over the state to support Dobbs Equipment and Construction Angels is heartwarming and a testament to the relationships we have developed with our customer base. It's also nice to see the support of our vendor partners such as John Deere, Wirtgen Group, LeeBoy, NPK, and others. The way Dobbs Equipment is committed to the industry is refreshing and brings added meaning to our work. Our customers recognize this, and it makes our jobs that much easier."
General Manager for the Orlando store, Roger Croft, reflects:
"The most important thing in life is to support those in need. There is not a more supportive charity in our industry than Construction Angels. The charity itself was founded to provide support to families who have lost a loved one in a construction-related accident. The support that Dobbs Equipment provides Construction Angels makes a difference in letting the families know that there is love and support from the entire construction community. This Tournament is so important to Dobbs Equipment and the opportunity to give back to an industry that has been very supportive of us. To reiterate Anthony's remark, it is through strong relationships that we can bring together Dobbs Equipment, our manufacturer partners like John Deere, Wirtgen Group, Lee Boy, Finn, NPK, Topcon, and most importantly our customers, operators, and end users to support this honorable endeavor."
A huge thank you to all our partners and sponsors!
