Be Pro Be Proud Partnership Announcement
Attracting and retaining top talent is a challenge for the construction industry as a whole. This is why Dobbs Equipment, LLC has chosen to partner with Be Pro Be Proud of South Carolina (BeProBeProudSC.org) as a Journeyman Sponsor.
This is one of the few organizations that highlights Diesel Technician as a profession, which is the most challenging role to fill at Dobbs. Their website features average earnings, a teaser video, and rough overview of responsibilities. As a partner, Dobbs will be featured on the Be Pro Be Proud website’s job section, leading students directly to our career page. It offers the opportunity to feature an apprentice program and the benefit of sending company representatives to any number of the Mobile Workshops tour stops. You can view the tour schedule here.
Be Pro Be Proud is viewed as a resource for Dobbs to gain additional exposure to today’s youth so that they can learn about the rewarding career opportunities available. The combined efforts shall foster pride for this profession, show that the industry is making progress to be inclusive to all individuals, and a sense of professionalism and dignity for careers in construction. We all need to be onboard in order to break the stigma against trades work and knock down barriers, beliefs, and views this industry has been subjected to over the decades.
In order to shift the desired career mindset, we need to shift the exterior perspective. The team members of Dobbs Equipment are key and growing is vital to our success. As stated by Be Proud Be Proud they “are building tomorrows workforce” and it is our duty to help!
Be Pro Be Proud is a mobile workshop that travels across the state of South Carolina to showcase skilled profession careers that are available. It is a 53-foot double-expandable 18-wheller with eight interactive station to give hands-on exposure for various occupations like commercial driving, fork lift repair, welding, etc.
