Dobbs Equipment proudly hosted its 6th Annual Golf Classic on April 30-May 1, 2026, at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, raising more than $159,900 in support of Construction Angels and its mission to serve families affected by construction-related tragedies.
Construction Angels provides immediate financial assistance, grief counseling, and scholarship opportunities to the spouses and children of construction workers who have lost their lives in jobsite accidents.
This two-day event brought together customers, manufacturers, and industry partners alike for a meaningful time focused on building relationships, supporting a great cause, and giving back to the construction community.
The festivities began Thursday evening with a cocktail reception sponsored by Epic Insurance Brokers & Consultants and Evans Equipment & Environmental. There, attendees were able to reconnect with colleagues, build new relationships, and reflect on the 'why' behind the weekend. Set against the backdrop of PGA National Resort, the reception set the tone for the rest of the event. Seamlessly blending networking with philanthropy, the evening also featured a silent auction and raffle with a range of donated items and experiences, all made possible through the generosity of Dobbs Equipment's partners and sponsors.
Friday's tournament brought that same energy onto the Champions Course, where 138 players across 36 teams teed off for a full day of friendly competition. The day began with breakfast before players made their way through the course where sponsors hosted activations like the hole-in-one or Beat the Pro featuring refreshments, branded experiences, and interactive elements, keeping participants engaged from the first tee to the final putt.
Following tournament play, attendees gathered for a post-round lunch and awards presentation to celebrate. During which, Dobbs Equipment CEO, Adam Tschetter and Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing, Augusto Salles thanked players for their participation, generosity, and support of Construction Angels' mission.
The event wrapped up with awards where Mid Coast Aggregates was awarded first-place honors, followed by Bennett Civil LLC in second, with additional recognition given to standout performances throughout the tournament.
As the Golf Classic continues to grow, so does its impact.
"Each year, the Dobbs Golf Classic continues to improve in so many ways," said Kristi Ronyak CEO and founder/National executive director of Construction Angels Inc. "This year, various companies outside of Florida participated in this event for the first time. Through Dobbs' wide network, new partners were introduced to our charity, helping raise funds and awareness for families across multiple states."
Dobbs Equipment extends its sincere gratitude to all sponsors, customers, and participants who made this year's event possible. A special thank you goes to our dedicated volunteers for their time and effort behind the scenes, as well as to Kristi Ronyak, Audrey Mathews, Chrissy Griffin and Jen Ballester of Construction Angels and Augusto Salles, Sammie Spissak and Sarah Jackson of Dobbs Equipment for their commitment in bringing this event to life.
Together, we continue to strengthen our industry, support one another, and make a lasting difference for construction families when they need it most.
Thank you to all our sponsors and partners. We could not do this without you!
